In order to enter Switzerland, individuals from the People’s Republic of China need a passport which has to be valid at least for three months after the date of the return journey as well as a visa.

The following articles can be brought to Switzerland duty-free by persons aged 17 and up:

- 2 liters of alcohol up to 15 volume percent or 1 liter of alcohol
    with more than 15 volume percent.
- 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of smoking pipe     tobacco
- private articles (presents) up to a maximum value of 300.00     francs.
